When a manuscript is submitted to a Journal Discovery Agriculture, it first goes through a technical check by the editorial office. This ensures all necessary items are included in the submission prior to sending to a scientific editor for evaluation. Editorial Office is responsible for evaluating whether the submission fits the journal's aim and scope. Only if a manuscript passes this internal evaluation will be assigned to a scientific editor for further evaluation. Those manuscripts that warrant further consideration for publication are sent out for in-depth peer review by external reviewers. The published manuscript contains "Article History (Peer-review History)" & peer-review statement as "External peer-review was done through double-blind method".
Discovery Agriculture operate under a double-blind peer review process. This means that reviewers doesn't know the identity of the authors, similarly the authors also doesn't know the identity of the reviewers.
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (importance, originality, study’s validity, clarity) and its relevance to the journal’s scope. Decisions to edit and publish are not determined by the policies of governments or any other agencies outside of the journal itself. The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the entire editorial content of the journal and the timing of publication of that content.
A decision can be made at any point in the evaluation process to reject the manuscript, whether this be without review, or with two reviews. No manuscript will be accepted without peer review, discussion among editors and approval from Deputy Editors.
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author. Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
The submitted manuscript is a privileged communication and must be treated as a confidential document. Reviewers should destroy all copies of the manuscript after review and not share the manuscript with any colleagues without the explicit permission of the editor. Reviewers should not make personal or professional use of the data or interpretations before publication without the authors’ specific permission (unless they are invited to write an editorial or commentary to accompany the article).
An editor will at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
