The journal provides an academic platform for professionals and researchers to contribute innovative work in the fields of sustainable agriculture. It serves as a forum for exchange of views and ideas among working scientists and theorists who seeks to promote and disseminate the knowledge by publishing original research findings, review articles, analysis, perspectives, opinion and communications in the field of agriculture.

Peer Review Process

Discovery Agriculture employs a double-blind peer review process, in which the author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. The Editorial Board of the journal will immediately screen all articles submitted for publication in that journal. Those articles which fail to reach the scientific standards of the journal may be declined without further review. Those articles which satisfy the requirements of the Editorial Board will be sent to a maximum of three referees. These are experts in the field who have agreed to provide a rapid assessment of the article. Every effort will be made to provide an editorial decision as to acceptance for publication within 4-6 weeks of submission. Referees may request a revision of the article to be made. In this case, it is generally understood that only one revised version can be considered for a further appraisal under the peer-review system.

Editorial independence

Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (importance, originality, study’s validity, clarity) and its relevance to the journal’s scope. Decisions to edit and publish are not determined by the policies of governments or any other agencies outside of the journal itself. The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the entire editorial content of the journal and the timing of publication of that content.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Fair play

An editor will at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Article Withdrawal policy

There is no processing or publishing charge. Its absolutely free only, but if the author wish to withdraw the article after the acceptance mail or once we start to process the article, authors are solely responsible for the preparation of the article. For the preparation of the article the author have to pay the penalty fee.
After the publication of the article, if the author ask for correction / modification / retraction the author have to pay the penalty fee 150 USD only. Its mandatory.

To avoid the penalty,

Authors should not submit their article simultaneously to multiple journals. If so happen, authors are solely responsible.
If the authors wish to withdraw the article, the authors have to mail us within 3 working days soon after receiving the acceptance mail.

Article Retraction policy

Infringements of professional ethical codes, such as multiple submission, bogus claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data or the like. Occasionally a retraction will be used to correct errors in submission or publication.The retraction of an article by its authors or the editor under the advice of members of the scholarly community has long been an occasional feature of the learned world. A retraction note is titled as “Retracted: [article title]” signed by the authors and/or the editor is published in the same issue of the journal and listed in the contents list. The original article data will be removed and indicate as “retracted” in watermark on the pdf file. The HTML version of the document is removed.

Publication Frequency

The Discovery Agriculture published Semi-Annual (2 issues per year) on regular basis. All papers are published as soon as they have been accepted, by adding them to the "current" volume's Table of Contents.

Open Access Policy

The journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. It is available online for FREE to all readers. No pre-registration is required and there are no 'logins' and 'passwords'.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Ethical standards for publication exist to ensure high-quality scientific publications, public trust in scientific findings, and that people receive credit for their ideas. The prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. The journal will not consider any paper which is ethically unacceptable. (The guidelines are based on Elsevier policies and COPE‟s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors). We have great respect and we generally follow the guidelines, given by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE); Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and the Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers for any publication disputes, authorship disputes, etc. For these kinds of disputes, we generally visit and follow the COPE website and author(s) are also requested to do so. Plagiarism

The Editorial Board of our journal will immediately screen all articles submitted for publication in that journal. Plagiarism is not limited to the Results and Discussion sections; it can involve any part of the manuscript, including figures and tables, in which material is copied from another publication without attestation, reference, or permission. Note that wording does not have to be exact to be copyright infringement; use of very similar words in almost the same sequence can also be infringement. Any suspected misconduct ends up with a quick rejection. We are using the commercial tool Plagiarism Checker X to check the plagiarism.

Redundant or duplicate publication

Duplicate or redundant publication is a publication that overlaps substantially with one already published, in press, or in an electronic media submission.

Duplicate or redundant submission is the same manuscript (or the same data) that is submitted to different journals at the same time. International copyright laws, ethical conduct, and cost effective use of resources require that readers can be assured that what they are reading is original.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published or currently submitted elsewhere. Duplicate publication is a violation of the APA code of ethics (APA Publication Manual, 2010) and will be grounds for prompt rejection of the submitted manuscript. If the editor was not aware of the violation and the article has been published, a notice of duplicate submission and the ethical violation will be published.

Publication decisions

The editors ensure that all submitted manuscripts being considered for publication undergo peer-review by at least two reviewers who are expert in the field. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal will be published, based on the validation of the work in question, its importance to researchers and readers, the reviewers’ comments, and such legal requirements as are currently in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Copyrights

The copyrights of all papers published in this journal are retained by the respective authors as per the 'Creative Commons Attribution License'. The author(s) should be the sole author(s) of the article and should have full authority to enter into agreement and in granting rights to Discovery Scientific Society, which are not in breach of any other obligation. The author(s) should ensure the integrity of the paper and related works. Authors should mandatorily ensure that submission of manuscript to Discovery Scientific Society would result into no breach of contract or of confidence or of commitment given to secrecy.
